You'll work in a cross-functional team alongside Engineers and Product Managers, owning the end-to-end design process for digital products like economist.com. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract and requires both strategic thinking and hands-on production work. You're expected to uphold and represent The Economist’s visual identity and brand integrity across all outputs.

📑    What the job involves

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize subscription user journeys that drive satisfaction and commercial outcomes. • Conduct user research to understand behaviors, identify friction points, and recommend improvements. • Translate user insights into practical design tools such as wireframes and prototypes while maintaining brand consistency. • Map entire user journeys, not just the ideal paths, to ensure comprehensive user support. • Create high-fidelity designs and liaise with developers to ensure excellent, accessible user experiences are delivered. • Analyze funnel performance and A/B tests with data analysts to inform design iterations. • Organize workshops and design sprints to involve broad internal stakeholders in product development. • Communicate design strategies and performance results clearly to diverse audiences. • Support and mentor junior designers to cultivate team-wide expertise and growth.
