We are seeking a full-time, in-person Product Designer to join our London-based team and play a crucial role in inventing the future of AI-powered work tools. As our first dedicated design hire, you will define our design workflows, iterate on our product's functionality and aesthetics, and establish a cohesive brand and design language.
• You have several years of experience shipping beautifully designed products to real users, demonstrating a deep understanding of functional and aesthetic design. • You are a systems thinker who has worked on open-ended tools, ensuring scalable designs rather than just A–B flows. • You balance scrappiness with an eye for detail, iterating quickly in explorative phases and refining interactions, typography, and motion when necessary. • Prototyping is second nature to you; you believe in testing designs dynamically to determine viability and user-friendliness. • You are comfortable working across multiple platforms, including Mac, iOS, and web, ensuring a seamless user experience across all touchpoints. • You are engaged with AI advancements and capable of integrating the latest tools into both your workflow and Granola’s product offering. • Above all, you see yourself as a builder who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys collaborating in person with a motivated team.
• Design the future of Granola alongside the founders, defining early feature ideas and working closely with engineers to bring them to life. • Enhance the fit and finish of the product, ensuring a beautifully crafted experience for users who spend hours daily using Granola. • Engage directly with users to investigate use cases, test new features, and refine design direction based on feedback. • Balance exploration and iteration in prototyping, experimenting with bold new ideas while refining interactions, typography, and motion. • Develop and evolve Granola’s brand identity and design language across product interfaces and marketing materials. • Ensure consistency across platforms, optimizing design patterns for Mac, iOS, and web versions of Granola.
