The company is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Design Lead to manage and lead the design process independently from concept to execution. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to define and implement the product strategy while ensuring high design standards.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • You possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years of experience managing or mentoring other designers. • You are proficient in Figma for both design and prototyping. • You have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies. • You excel in communication and collaboration with product managers and business leads. • You have a keen eye for visual design and brand consistency, including experience supporting marketing teams.
• Lead and manage the design process from concept to implementation. • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and execute the product strategy. • Act as a strategic partner by providing insights and recommendations on product decisions. • Work with the VP of Product to define the workflow between product and design teams. • Mentor and guide a small team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration. • Implement best practices around discovery and research, ensuring meaningful user insights. • Support marketing and commercial teams in refining the YouLend brand identity. • Develop and maintain the company's design system, working with product designers and front-end engineers for efficiency. • Promote accessibility best practices in all product designs to support a diverse user base. • Advocate for inclusive design principles, ensuring usability across different demographics and linguistic backgrounds.
