The Senior UX Designer will work on enhancing digital products and platforms at ICIS, contributing to both user-facing and internal editorial tools. This role involves applying user-centered design methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, researchers, architects, and data scientists. As a senior team member, you will lead UX initiatives, mentor junior designers, and shape the future of ICIS's digital experiences. You will be instrumental in driving seamless interactions across all user touchpoints, ensuring intuitive and accessible designs. 👤    Who you are

• You have extensive experience in UX design, with a strong foundation in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). • You thrive in solving complex design challenges and are comfortable navigating ambiguous problems. • You have a portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, prototyping, and problem-solving. • You possess strong communication skills and can present design rationales effectively to stakeholders. • You are proficient in industry-standard tools like Figma, Jira, Miro, and Dovetail. • You enjoy mentoring junior designers and fostering a learning-driven environment. • You are collaborative and eager to work with multidisciplinary teams to build impactful solutions. • You can conduct usability testing, analyze data, and iterate designs based on user insights.

📑    What the job involves

• Lead UX design initiatives across multiple projects, from discovery to delivery. • Apply user-centered design methodologies to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable solutions. • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, researchers, architects, and data scientists to define problems, explore solutions, and validate design decisions. • Conduct usability testing and leverage data analysis to refine and optimize designs. • Design workflows, wireframes, and prototypes that bring ideas to life. • Advocate for and contribute to the evolution of UX best practices, design processes, and team culture. • Provide mentorship and support to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. • Ensure consistency and scalability by contributing to and maintaining Nova, the ICIS design system.
