The Senior Software Engineer (Java) will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems for IG Group’s core trading platform. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system resilience, innovation, and fast-paced software delivery.
• You have 10+ years of professional commercial software engineering experience in Java and related technologies. • You possess strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly. • You excel at mentoring other engineers, promoting best coding practices, and instilling a culture of quality. • You have experience providing technical leadership in a cross-functional team for complex projects. • You are deeply engaged with emerging technology trends and have a drive to innovate and optimize engineering processes.
