Senior Java Engineer on the Payments Team at OpenTable, based in London (Hybrid: in-office two days per week).
• An experienced and collaborative software engineer with a strong background in Java and SpringBoot. • Comfortable working with payment processing systems and third-party payment integrations. • Skilled in technologies such as MongoDB, Kafka, and Kubernetes. • Passionate about delivering resilient, scalable, and secure backend services. • Value test-driven development and maintainable, high-performance applications. • Open to learning and sharing knowledge with fellow engineers to drive team success. • Enthusiastic about contributing to a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Build and maintain backend services for OpenTable’s payment platform using Java. • Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers. • Support the integration of new Payment Processors and ensure secure, seamless transactions. • Collaborate with third-party payment providers to optimize integration with OpenTable systems. • Work closely with other teams to develop and use RESTful services that meet product requirements. • Continuously improve technical skills while helping the team grow by sharing knowledge. • Contribute to product roadmaps and influence the development of payment solutions.
