As an Engineer on Axon's Video Experience team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing video playback experiences within the Evidence.com platform. Your work will contribute significantly to justice and law enforcement by ensuring that officers can seamlessly review and analyze critical evidence. This position allows you to integrate key Axon products, enhance media interfaces, and drive innovation in evidence playback.
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • You possess between 2-5 years of professional software development experience. • You have expertise in Front-End Development with deep knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. • You have familiarity with backend technologies, including API development and languages like Python, Go, or Java. • You are an excellent communicator and can convey technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience. • You have a strong focus on quality, unit testing, automation, and test-driven development. • You have experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity, or ArgoCD.
• Develop and enhance the evidence playback experience, ensuring fast and responsive user interactions across Axon products. • Design and build user interfaces that enable users to quickly review, analyze, and share media, including video and images. • Collaborate with Product Managers to understand customer needs and influence future feature development. • Work closely with the engineering team to provide feedback on technical designs and solutions to customer challenges. • Raise technical standards within the team by contributing to code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practices. • Ensure code quality by implementing robust testing, innovative automation solutions, and load testing approaches.
