This position is for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) within Axon's APX SRE organization, based in London, England. The role involves working on mission-critical, cloud-native services to ensure they remain highly reliable and performant. This individual contributor role requires working closely with engineering teams to build foundational platforms that enable rapid, secure provisioning of services. The candidate should have expertise in site reliability best practices and will drive operational improvements across Axon’s engineering teams. The position offers an opportunity to influence and educate teams on modern architectural patterns and best practices.
• You have 10+ years of experience in relevant engineering roles. • You are skilled in managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar services. • You have experience working with Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar. • You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar. • You have expertise in infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. • You are familiar with CI/CD processes to automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployment. • You use observability tools such as APM, logging, and metrics for debugging and performance monitoring. • You prioritize designing reliable, scalable architectures for SaaS/PaaS systems. • You foster collaboration and empathy when working alongside software engineers.
