The Back-End Engineer will work as part of the Brokerage - Fraud team at Blockchain.com, focusing on fraud prevention and mitigation strategies. The engineer will develop scalable, reliable, and secure backend services while working with internal and external partners to enhance fraud prevention mechanisms.
• You have deep expertise in at least one programming language and experience in JVM-based languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala. • You bring 3 to 5+ years of experience developing distributed, fault-tolerant, and production-ready backend systems. • You are customer-focused and continuously explore ways to improve backend systems for a seamless customer experience. • You have experience with databases, event streaming, and monitoring tools such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Datadog, and Grafana. • You are passionate about crypto and its potential to transform financial systems.
• Contribute to fraud prevention initiatives as part of the Brokerage - Fraud team. • Work closely with data science teams to build fraud detection systems leveraging internal services and external partners, including SardineAI and Sift. • Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to resolve customer issues and ensure fraud mitigation strategies remain effective. • Advocate for best engineering practices, including test coverage, code quality, and technical documentation. • Continuously optimize systems for scalability, performance, and security, incorporating advanced encryption schemes where necessary. • Work as part of cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software and services to Blockchain.com users.
