As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing our internal developer platform and ensuring our infrastructure follows best practices in observability, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead design sessions, and play a vital role in maintaining a high level of engineering standards across the business. Your work will directly impact the developer experience by improving automation, efficiency, and tooling.
• You thrive in a highly collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with other engineers and stakeholders. • You are passionate about solving problems and improving efficiency across the organization. • Experience with GitHub and most of Moonpig's tech stack is desirable. • A strong understanding of event-driven architectures and cloud/serverless technologies is a plus. • Familiarity with React is a bonus, though not mandatory. • Knowledge of Extreme Programming practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming is beneficial.
• Implement platform tooling and automate processes to maximize system uptime. • Own and refine CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, and incident response strategies. • Enhance the internal developer platform using Backstage, improve workflow automation, and drive observability initiatives. • Participate in agile development processes including retrospectives, planning, and stand-ups. • Take ownership of design sessions, deliverables, and progress reporting to relevant stakeholders. • Actively contribute to improving engineering best practices and driving technical innovation across the company.
