Staff Software Engineer – Full Remote, EMEA-based
• You have at least 6 years of experience in SaaS software development and 2 years in a technical leadership role. • You are highly proficient in NodeJS with a strong preference for using TypeScript. • You understand relational database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and can architect scalable, secure platforms. • You bring experience applying Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles and are comfortable with event-driven architectures involving tools like Kafka or Kinesis. • You have significant experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Agile development methodologies, and CI/CD best practices. • You have the ability to balance addressing technical debt with delivering new features in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead the technical vision of a cross-functional team in solving customer-centric problems with secure and scalable solutions. • Collaborate across functions, particularly with product managers, to define and deliver on both technical and business goals. • Participate in daily standups, team pair-programming sessions, and assist junior engineers through mentorship and code reviews. • Drive architectural design sessions and propose efficient solutions to complex issues. • Identify and track technical debt, ensuring long-term system reliability and scalability. • Provide feedback on pull requests, support code quality, and encourage engineering best practices across the team. • Communicate with Engineering Managers to monitor delivery performance and maintain sustainable development practices.
