Metomic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to its core infrastructure and data protection systems. In this role, the engineer will work on a wide array of challenges, including sensitive data classification engines, handling large-scale data pipelines, and building scalable backend architectures. The role requires autonomy and problem-solving skills to create efficient solutions that align with the company’s security and scalability goals. Engineers will have an opportunity to work with modern technologies in a cloud-native environment. This position is remote-friendly but also offers access to a Shoreditch, London office.

• Design and build scalable backend services using TypeScript, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.• Develop sensitive data classification and risk identification systems.• Build and maintain data ingest pipelines that handle billions of messages per day.• Contribute to the development of alerting and remediation systems for security risks.• Collaborate with product teams to ensure that technical solutions meet customer needs.
