DeepL is seeking a Backend Engineer to work on their Monetization team, developing services using C# and .NET Core. The role involves designing and implementing features within a hybrid cloud environment, collaborating cross-functionally, and enhancing payment processing and subscription models.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language, with a strong emphasis on backend development. • Exposure to or willingness to learn DeepL’s tech stack, including C#, .NET Core, and gRPC. • Experience in building and maintaining business-critical applications. • Strong understanding of algorithmic complexity and common data structures. • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively to diverse stakeholders. • Fluent in English. • Comfortable working in a hybrid model, with a presence in the London office twice per week on average.
• Design, implement, and maintain features within DeepL’s microservices structure in a hybrid cloud setting. • Collaborate across engineering teams to drive the development of end-to-end solutions. • Improve the maintainability, reliability, and robustness of the software architecture. • Actively participate in automation initiatives to enhance development workflows. • Engage with the backend developer community, contributing knowledge, ideas, and insights.
