As a Systems Engineer at AWS, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-scale distributed systems for Amazon’s storage services, specifically Simple Storage Service (S3) and Glacier. This position entails defining architecture patterns, improving system reliability, and driving innovation in cloud storage solutions at a global scale.
• You have a strong foundation in systems engineering, with expertise in networking, storage systems, and operating systems. • You have hands-on experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure. • You are proficient in programming with a modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby. • You have experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance distributed systems. • You have a passion for innovation and an eagerness to challenge traditional ways of designing and maintaining cloud systems.
• Be actively involved in daily engineering operations, providing hands-on technical guidance and support. • Define architecture, design, and proof-of-concept efforts for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring high quality and simplicity in complex systems. • Design, implement, and deploy scalable distributed system software to enhance security, durability, and cost-efficiency. • Take full ownership of challenging projects, working with autonomy and accountability to achieve engineering goals. • Communicate effectively with customers and technical teams to define strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives. • Stay current with evolving technologies to proactively research and integrate new advancements into AWS infrastructure. • Apply software engineering best practices to maintain a high standard of quality across all deliverables.
