Logging and Analytics Platform Operations Specialist on the Security Operations team at TikTok.
• You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority. • You thrive under pressure and can make informed decisions in complex and ambiguous situations. • You have strong teamwork and collaboration skills and are motivated to contribute to a dynamic and evolving security landscape. • You have experience interpreting numeric data and statistical principles, as well as proficiency with Linux, MacOS, and Windows internals. • You have knowledge of operating and maintaining logging and analytics tools across various platforms. • You may have additional preferred qualifications such as CISSP, SSCP, CAP, CCSP, CISM certifications, experience with microservices, programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java), and experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
• Deploy and maintain logging capabilities across applications, infrastructure, databases, and networks. • Develop data ingestion and extraction strategies for security logging, including SIEM integrations. • Define conditions and logic to identify unauthorized activities and potential security threats. • Optimize and fine-tune correlation rules and alerts to minimize false positives in security monitoring. • Apply data modeling techniques to event logs for advanced analytics and security insights. • Conduct root cause analysis and post-mortem investigations of cybersecurity incidents. • Develop and report key security metrics related to logging capabilities and monitoring trends. • Analyze logging coverage and onboard new data sources as necessary. • Review and assess the effectiveness of logging and monitoring tools regularly. • Establish standard operating procedures and training programs for security technologies. • Continuously improve security technology infrastructure, processes, and support frameworks. • Validate security control designs, deployments, and ongoing effectiveness for protecting enterprise data and platforms.
