Aqovia is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Technical Lead to oversee software development initiatives for both client projects and internal research and development. This role requires expertise in technical architecture, agile coaching, and leading development teams while ensuring the adoption of best software practices. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance across the company, help shape technology directions, and support stakeholders through the software development process. The position involves client engagement, ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business needs. The selected individual will play a key role in mentoring engineers and influencing technology decisions.

👤    Who you are

• You have extensive experience in a professional and agile software development environment. • You possess strong stakeholder management skills and can facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical teams. • You have a problem-solving mindset and a keen ability to architect, adopt, and integrate new off-the-shelf solutions. • You are an effective Agile Coach who is comfortable leading ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups. • You have strong programming knowledge, particularly in web development technologies such as HTML5, ECMAScript 6+, and CSS3. • You are proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally Web Components using Lit-html or lit-element. • You have experience working with cloud-native architectures and serverless computing. • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to manage business interactions professionally. • You can optimize browser-based applications and work with performance monitoring tools. • You have experience with micro-frontends and mobile-first, offline-first progressive web apps.

• Serve as a hands-on software engineering leader guiding teams in best development practices. • Act as a technical design authority, ensuring alignment across solutions and architecture decisions. • Provide expert guidance to clients on technology solutions, balancing off-the-shelf and bespoke developments. • Contribute to internal research and development initiatives, evaluating new technologies for potential adoption. • Advocate for and implement Agile methodologies, ensuring effective ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives. • Support the Product Owner in defining and managing the product backlog and roadmap. • Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. • Oversee stakeholder communications and project progress to ensure alignment with business objectives. • Ensure smooth resolution of support issues and handle project escalations effectively. • Support the professional development of engineering employees and conduct performance appraisals.
