Starling Bank is seeking skilled engineers to join its Customer Identity & Fincrime team, focusing on security, fraud detection, and seamless customer identity verification. This position requires working with technologies such as Java, AWS, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Terraform while contributing to maintaining and enhancing Starling's secure banking systems. As part of a microservices-based architecture, engineers will collaborate across teams to develop and deploy new technological solutions. • Passionate about software engineering and solving complex problems. • Comfortable working in a cloud-native tech environment, primarily with Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures. • Interested in financial security, fraud detection, and identity verification technologies. • Open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving challenges in fintech. • A strong team player who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments.
• Build and maintain secure systems to verify customer identities, prevent fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Work on backend development primarily using Java, AWS, and PostgreSQL. • Contribute to infrastructure management using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. • Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to create seamless identity verification solutions. • Participate in designing, developing, and deploying innovative banking security features.
