Software Engineer specializing in backend service development for a government client at Aker Systems.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. • You have at least five years of software development experience, particularly in Java programming with Spring Boot. • You are experienced in integrating with backend services such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or S3. • You have strong knowledge of Agile development, continuous delivery, and DevOps environments. • You are fluent in test-driven development, Git-based version control, and cloud services such as AWS. • You thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams while maintaining ownership and accountability for your work.
• Design, develop, document, and deploy new or enhanced backend features that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. • Actively participate in story elaboration and estimation to assist with project planning and execution. • Build small, frequent releases that maintain project momentum and reliability. • Closely collaborate with teammates in cross-functional feature teams to support skill-sharing and redundancy in project work. • Optimize and manage continuous deployment pipelines for streamlined software delivery. • Maintain operational responsibility for backend services to ensure performance, availability, and security.
