As a Software Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on system integration activities, managing defects, and ensuring target hardware is properly utilized and maintained. You will also assist in developing in-house tools to support integration efforts and actively contribute to maintaining security, export, and environmental standards. Additionally, you will play a leadership role within the broader SI Integration Team, reporting to the SI Work Package Manager and Integration Team Technical Specialist.
• You have experience in software engineering, with a strong understanding of system integration and complex software delivery. • You possess hands-on expertise working with COTS hardware, Windows, and VMware. • You can efficiently manage software defect resolution and progress tracking. • You have a background in software and systems engineering, ideally with a focus on naval combat systems. • You hold an academic qualification in an engineering or STEM-related field and are either professionally accredited or seeking accreditation.
• Carry out technical aspects of system integration and ensure engineering processes are followed. • Manage defects and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. • Assist in developing internal tools to support integration activities. • Manage and maintain the Shared Infrastructure (SI) Target Hardware, ensuring best practices are upheld. • Adhere to security, export, health, safety, and environmental guidelines and best practices.
